Should the University Campus Be Open to Tourists?

When it comes to whether the university campus should be open to tourists ,there is no complete agreement among people.Some people take it for granted that university campus should embrace tourists across the country.However, others maintain that the university campus should be closed to tourists. In my opinion, university campus should be open to tourists.

Those people who hold the first opinion believe that refusing tourists is against universities' spirit of openness.In addition,they insist that no university has the right to reject taxpayers to enter its grounds because it is public land.However ,still others think differently. In their opinions,too many tourists will add a burden to the security department of the university. Besides,they argue that these tourists will destroy the quiet environment and influence students' normal study.

Weighing up these two arguments,I prefer the former opinion.For one thing, it is a good thing for the students to visit the famous university campus in that it can enable the middle students to get more information about the university and they can have enough time and opportunity to prepare themselves with the chance to get into the university. For another, a university should be an open place and impart the spirit of openness to its students.Considering these,I may reasonably conclude that the university campus should welcome all tourists.

大學開放是雙向的，允許外來人員進校并享用環(huán)境和學術資源是一方面，讓老師和同學們走出校園服務所在城市是另一方面。首先，大學是城市組織中最具活力的文化機構，除了整潔的校園環(huán)境之外，還有安靜的圖書館、自習室以及大師講座與藝術演出等。在不影響校園秩序的前提下，這些資源是可以有計劃地向社會開放的，比如引入線上預約等動態(tài)管理方式，讓更多的校外人員有機會接觸到高等教育的文化氛圍。其次，則要讓老師和同學們從校園里走出來，將實用型科研成果與城市規(guī)劃結合起來，并能通過科學的手段對城市進行多方位的考察，傳承其優(yōu)秀的物質(zhì)和精神文化，對需要改進的地方提出相應的意見建議。

大學資源走出去的開放模式既要“仰望星空”，又要“腳踏實地”?！把鐾强铡奔粗敬娓哌h，理解自身對于社會建設與發(fā)展的重要作用，將服務社會視為己任。“腳踏實地”指對于社會的服務要落在實處，讓周邊社區(qū)直接受惠。此次話題中心的南京大學和北京大學、清華大學等全國性名校，影響力覆蓋面極廣，但全國絕大多數(shù)大學的影響力主要是覆蓋所在城市或所在社區(qū)，所以在校師生走出校園后，首先要做的還是社區(qū)服務，而且是不斷開拓創(chuàng)新的、結合專業(yè)所長的、制度化的社區(qū)服務。

所以，大學的開放應該有多樣的維度和程度，不能簡單化地把目光放在校門的開放上。同時，校外人員理應充分理解校內(nèi)管理人員的出發(fā)點。畢竟，保障大學師生在校的權利，營造一個良好的內(nèi)部環(huán)境，是大學與社會、社區(qū)形成良性互動的起點。
